Who we are
Kept is a wellness and habits app for people coming off, cutting down or taking a break from GLP-1 medication. It is not a medical service. You can reach us at privacy@keptoff.com.
What stays on your device
Everything you log in the app: weigh-ins, hunger and food-noise ratings, protein and strength check-ins, your plan for loud moments and your profile (your starting and lowest weight, your stage and units). This is stored only on your phone. We don't have accounts or a copy of it on our servers.
What leaves your device, and why
- The weekly check-in (Kept Plus). To write your weekly check-in, the app sends a summary of the week to our server: averages and counts such as your 7-day average change, how many days you logged, average hunger and food-noise scores, and the names of meals in your plan. It contains no name, email or device identifier. Our server passes it to Anthropic's Claude API to write the text and does not store it. Anthropic processes it under its commercial terms and does not use it to train models.
- Purchases. Subscriptions are handled by Apple and by RevenueCat, which tells the app whether Kept Plus is active. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID and your purchase history. It never receives your health data.
- Usage analytics, only if you opt in. If you turn on "Share anonymous usage", we use PostHog to count events such as "check-in completed" or "paywall viewed". These events never include weights, scores or any other health values. Analytics is off until you choose to turn it on.
- Apple Health. If you allow it, Kept reads your weight from Apple Health so smart-scale weigh-ins appear automatically. Kept never writes to Apple Health, and Health data is never used for advertising or shared with third parties.
The website
Our website uses PostHog to measure visits and sign-ups, without session recording. If you take the quiz and choose to save your answers, we store them with your email to personalise your plan. That is optional, and we never send quiz answers to advertising platforms.
Your choices
- Export everything from You › Export my data.
- Delete everything from You › Delete all my data. Because the data lives on your phone, this removes it for good.
- Turn analytics or notifications off at any time in the app or in iOS Settings.
- Email us to delete anything tied to your email address, such as quiz answers.
Children
Kept is for adults aged 18 and over.
Changes
If we change how we handle your data, we'll update this page and the date above, and tell you in the app for anything significant.
